On The Beach...
I met with Stefani and Brandon on the beach in Ocean City today.
It was a surprisingly warm, sunny day...and we had the whole beach to ourselves!

In Cape May...
Ashley and Patrick had their engagement session in Cape May today.
We met at the Washington Street Mall and took posed and candid shots of the couple
as we walked around the beautiful, historic town.

      Sunday, April 18
I met with Pam and David in Philly for their engagement session today.
As we walked around Old City looking for interesting places to shoot
David spotted this very cool entrance.

      Saturday, April 17
Today was Nicole and Austins' wedding at Pitman Country Club.
It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony right next to the meticulously groomed country club fairways
followed by cocktails and dinner inside at Bogeys Ballroom.

      Tuesday, April 13
Daniel proposed to Kim at Love Park in Philadelphia so we went back there Tuesday for their
engagement shoot.  It was a rainy day but that didn't stop Kim and Dan from having a fun time -
and there was plenty of love in the air.

Interesting note:  Love Park contains no mention of the artist/sculptor, Robert Indiana's name.

     Sunday, April 11
Bill and Jill planned their engagement shoot at Stafford Forge Wildlife Management Area in Tuckerton.
The natural surroundings provided a beautiful backdrop to their photos.

    Saturday, April 10
Lisa and Drew had their wedding today on the beach in Surf City on Long Beach Island.
Bridal prep was done at a house on the beach (very convenient)
with a walk way that led directly to the ceremony location.
It was a beautiful wedding and a gorgeous day.
We traveled to Barnegat Light to take some photos of the wedding party and family.
The reception was at the Surf City Hotel.

The Art Museum in Philadelphia is a great place to shoot an engagement session.
I prefer the steps in the back of the art museum.

If you are looking for a new, different look to your photos the processing technique called
"cross-processing" gives photos a vintage 80's look that is currently very popular.

of course the favorite of many is sepia toning...very warm and dramatic.

make sure to request these processing techniques when you order your album.
      Tuesday March 30th
...in the studio with Misty & Chris for an engagement portrait

...grabbed a quick shot of their son.

     Saturday, March 27th
... had an engagement shoot with Lindsey and Brian at Boat House Row in Phily.

Brian practicing his "dip" technique.

Brian's a rock climber which might explain why he looks so natural next to these rocks.

...when you get to the top of the steps at the Art Museum you become
overwhelmed by the desire to do "the Rocky thing"

I had a great day...Lindsey and Brian are a wonderful couple and I am looking forward to
working with them again on their wedding day.
Crystal & Kurts wedding was a blast!
Kurt really surprised everyone when he handcuffed his bride!

A good time was had by all.
Congratulations Crystal & Kurt

My brides have the best ideas...
Gina asked about a custom guest sign-in book that was a bit different than most.
She wanted her guests to be able to sign around the images on all the pages  - most  custom
guest books have a photo on the left hand page and sign-in on the right hand page.
So, I accepted the challenge and found a printer who would work with me on my custom design.

Thanks Gina!

This sample book features photos from Jackie and Mikes engagement session
at Allaire State Park.

Three years ago I took a picture of a bride at Trump Marina Casino in Atlantic City.
I've received so many compliments on this photo.  Oddly it was just a quick "grab" shot
that we took as we were walking from the restaurant to the casino.
The gown was from Tesi's Bridal Boutique in Ventnor.
I've been meaning to go visit Tesi, so I decided to make this poster for her as a gift.
Her shop is neat, organized and well stocked with a huge assortment of gowns and
accessories...and Tesi really knows how to make a bride look beautiful.

Imagine it's your wedding day and you're having problems with your complexion.
A good makeup artist can really make a big difference in your appearance.
Add a little photo retouching and you'll look perfect in your bridal portraits.
one of my favorite make up artists: Lucie Nguyen

Using image editing software (photoshop) I added a bit more color in her eyes and lips and
eliminated the bags under her eyes as well as some of the larger blemishes -
then smoothed her skin.
